Messages To Families from NYCDOE

High School Information

NYCDOE State of Our Schools

NYC Public Schools is excited to introduce a new Accountability Tool designed to keep families, students, and the community informed about how our schools are performing. This tool provides clear, up-to-date information about our schools’ progress and highlights the work being done to support every student’s success.

The Accountability Tool focuses on three key commitments:

  1. Keeping students safe and well – Ensuring a safe, supportive, and healthy environment for learning.

  2. Supporting our educators – Providing teachers and staff with the resources, training, and support they need to thrive.

  3. Empowering families – Giving families the information and tools to actively engage in their child’s education.

We encourage you to click below to explore the reports and learn more about how our schools are making a difference in the lives of students every day. Your engagement and feedback are essential as we work together to ensure the best possible education for every child in NYC.

Autumn

Join a young girl as she takes a walk through forest and town, greeting all the signs of the coming season.

America

Dan Yaccarino’s great-grandfather arrived at Ellis Island with a small shovel and his parents’ good advice: “Work hard, but remember to enjoy life, and never forget your family.”

With simple text and warm, colorful illustrations, Yaccarino recounts how the little shovel was passed down through four generations of this Italian-American family—along with the good advice.
